Chung Hwa International Merits Society Sangha Dana in India….

Chung Hwa International Merits Society of Buddha Puja and Sangha Dana Society in Taiwan held special Maha Sangha Dana at Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre premises, Leh, Ladakh, India on September 17, 2018.

That was the International Maha Sangha Dana represented by more than 2000 Buddhist Monks and Bhikkunies with Rinpoches from different countries including India. The special Taiwanese Buddhist delegation also participated for organizing support jointly Chung Hwa International Merits Society of Buddha Puja and Sangha Dana Society.

Madam Wang Shue Yu, the CEO and General Secretary of Chung Hwa International Merits Society of Buddha Puja and Sangha Dana Society in Taiwan, Most Venerable Bhiksuni Dr. Ming Yu, the Former President of Chinese Young Buddhist Association in Taiwan (CYBA) & the Honorary Adviser of the World Alliance of Buddhists (WAB) and President of the Outstanding Women in Buddhism Awards, Most Venerable Bhikkhu Sanghasena, the Founder & President of Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre, Leh, Ladakh, India, Founder & President of save the Himalaya Foundation – New Delhi, Founder & President of Foundation of Indian Buddhist New Delhi, India, Most Venerable Shatup Chamba, the President Ladakh Gonpa Association in India, Most Venerable Palawadhammo (Dr. Pornchai Pinyapong), the President of The World Alliance of Buddhists (WAB) and Chairman of the Executive Council Meeting of WAB and members of the Executive Committee of the World Alliance for Buddhists also participated as the guests of this historic and auspicious event.

The 2000 Buddhist Monks and Bhikkunies with Rinpoches from different part of the world prayed together for world peace and prosperity at the Maha Sangha Dana Premises.

Madam Wang Shue Yu, CEO and General Secretary of Chung Hwa International Merits Society of Buddha Puja and Sangha Dana Society in Taiwan, said at the occasion, “Our main aim of the society is to provide support to the Sangha member for their spiritual enrichment regardless of nationality covering monastery, nunnery, retreat Centre and Buddhist colleges in many countries. After the society was established in 2003, we have been organizing Maha Sangha Dana for the past fifteen years with lakhs of monks, nuns and lay devotees in every year”.

Most Venerable Bhiksuni Dr. Ming Yu, the Former President of Chinese Young Buddhist Association in Taiwan (CYBA) & the Honorary Adviser of the World Alliance of Buddhists (WAB) and President of the Outstanding Women in Buddhism Awards said on speech, “Sangha Dana is extremely good and the merit occurred from this act knows no limits, hence we would like to share this merits to all sentient being. I am so happy of this event and it is with auspicious opportunity that we are able to perform Sangha Dana here in Ladakh once again after 19 years, which is a miracle of its own”.

On delivery his speech Most Venerable Bhikkhu Sanghasena, the Founder & President of Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre, Leh, Ladakh, India mentioned, “As we all know that this world is facing lots of violence, disturbance, and aggression, so the prayer for world peace is much needed. We are very happy that we could successfully organize this event where holy Sangha member including Rinpoche has participated. It is truly an important for all people to seek peace, happiness, and harmony in the society, country and the world.”
